So I'm at chillin at the relative's house and a friend walks in, joking as usual. He reaches for my naps and says, "You've got this one little patch of good hair in the back!" Of course this sets everyone a-giggling...damn coons. In the midst of this, he plunges his fingers into my hair and massages my scalp (I didn't protest as I'm a big fan of those!) At the time I was a bit too blitzed to get upset and take him to task. I resolved to get in his ass at a later time.
Which I did. I called him up and asked him what was up with the clownage, to which he responded, "Oh you know I had a motive..." Then it dawned on me. 'Twas just an excuse for him to molest my naps. Which he did. Shit, I still violated. Heehee. But I forgave him...can't be mad at a man that loves the natural ladies. No matter how twisted!
So yeah I have no pics to show because my hair looks pretty much the same. Oh, but I did try a slightly different method for creating twistouts. I've been making the twists a LOT bigger, which stretches the hair more; awesome because over time my hair has become SUPER curlykinky with awesome amounts of shrinkage. If my hair is freshly washed then I let it air dry, work some shea butter through a while then begin to twist. If it's dry then I dampen it with my spray bottle, do the shea butter thing and set to work.
The other day on a whim I added a small amount of conditioner before my shea butter application and proceeded to twist. Man, my twistout turned out so damn soft and stayed that way all day. Talk about hand-in-fro disease! I wouldn't suggest doing the conditioner thing every single time you do your twistouts though between washes, since this could cause buildup and make the hair look dull. Once is good if your going to work the twistout the whole week, which I do, letting the twistout slowly morph into a chunky fro and then a puff or two lil afro puffs.
I've got my routine down pat, which makes for boring updates, but low-maintenance heaven for me!
I'll try to come back with some pics...eventually.
