Young Cousin: How'd you get your hair to do that?
Me: I twist it and then unravel it
Her: Oh forreal? Dang, it just looks like good hair.
Other Cousin: She does have good hair.
Me: *internal smile*
It's the little things that keeps us nappyheads chugging. ;)

Flat twistout:
I rocked that stretchage for a day then put in some twists on damp hair. Here's the resulting twistout.
Sorry for the brightness factor, but it was nighttime and my flash is NO joke. Heehee. The humidity had really gotten to my hair by this point and it was nice and puffy but sooooft. I think it was the coconut oil that I used. A little of that stuff goes a loooong way, just like shea butter.
Posted by Lisa at May 29, 2005 09:53 PMi am just curious. i have longed to use the coconut oil as apart of my regimen. but i wasn't sure whether or not i could use it alone or with another product. i will experiement. at present, i will be visiting whole foods in chapel hill, nc today to pick up a bottle. the man in nutrition said there is actually a $7.99 15oz bottle for skin & hair. i would like to know how do you incorporate the coconut oil in your daily or weekly regimen. by the way, your hair is gorgeous! i am so loving mine. i have not questioned my choice to go natural back in 2002 but i have encountered alot of ignorance from co-workers etc...enough of that soapbox shet! anyway, i am very much appreciative for deciding to keep my shet real!!!
