Today my aunt said, "Oooh let me see your hair. I like it now!" I was going to say "As opposed to almost a year ago when I was a baldheaded bitch?" But you know I be trying to keep the peace and stuff. At any rate I thought I'd throw up a couple of pics of the twistout that she found so likeable.
One side looks shorter because I tucked it behind my ear. Ain't I creative and stuff? :D

Lookit Garfield chillin all prostrate in the backdrop! *wops*
Usually when I unravel my twists, I pull the the two strands apart because I prefer the fuller, wilder, chunky fro vibe I get. But I thought I would be different today and unravel and let em do their thug thizzle. Clearly somebody was digging it!
girl you wont believe how much i get the same thing. although it's usually someone preferring my nice healthy press over my nice healthy wash 'n go curly 'do. this past weekend though i got the opposite. hair got snowed on in the philly blizzard, so it was off the the beauty supply to get my usual textured hair tools, since i had left them at home. did a quick wash, finger combed it out and slapped some fantasia silky gel moisturizer/activator in it. and everyone loved it.
however i wear my hair -- pressed, weaved, natural and curly...fuck whoever dont like it. i LOVE my hair.
Posted by: Lise at January 28, 2005 02:11 PMInteresting ideas on why we kill our hair to make it look straight. In fifty years, I hope they'll say: "Back in the early 21st century, people actually put toxic chemicals on their scalps to make their hair straight."
The times... they're a changing.
