rules and the letter eff.

Sometimes people will give me this perplexed expression when I speak of my exes. I'm supposed to be bitter, you see. Although from time to time I am prone to apply some biting wit when waxing on about my past entanglements, it's all in fun. It matters not who won the Game that time around. Who hurt the most. Who lied. Who cheated. For me the bottom line is - this is a soul I got to meet and dance with for a while...

And when they started stepping on my toes a little too frequently for my taste, I bounced. It's the way of things.

I gained a lot from those interactions, enough so that each relationship seems a blessing in my mind. The gratitude tends to whitewash all those brushes with dirty love. So when I look back I see only funny stories; anecdotal evidence that I've been through it and back. Full circle now, and I'm better for it.

I think the biggest ripoff concept in existence is that of the ONE TRUE soulmate. All these mfs running around on this planet and there's only one that can bliss you out? Sheeeiiiit. That is quite the study in limitation. What I've found after a series of enlightening wake-up moments is that the true One, or twin flame, or sole mate is God(dess). If (S)he is all, then aren't we all Ones (or zeros if we choose to go without)? Expressing at different levels of awareness, yes; but essentially every one of us is an offshoot of All That Is. Mirrors.

Therefore, anybody can be It, that shit...if you make it so. But you are the one who has to be put-together, soul intact with all your facts straight. You have to be the one willing to show up, pay attention, tell the truth, and let go of the outcome. To take the risks and toe the line and clean up your messes and for pete's sake open your heart!

I mean...it would be a start. If you were interested in such a thing as true love.

I AM! And I love, love. If there's one thing I want to prove before I go to my place Above is that It is real and true and good lord, doesn't it move you?

...after you've gotten out of your own way, that is.

Hey Selah! How weird...I was just listening to that Lauryn Hill track a couple of days ago. Dig that synchronicity. :)

I wanted to feel this way too until I more or less willed it into actuality. A smart dude once said "As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives." - H.D. Thoreau
